Open Letter to all U.S. Presidential Candidates and past Presidents

The American Dream is Burning in the USA and across the world.
Who said we had to compete like this in a global economic arena?
Globalization and Free Trade have not evolved in a natural economic way and have been driven by external forces.
Why, what, where, when, how, who etc --- Did the U.S. Government sponsor the moving of factories outside the USA starting in 1956?
Why did this temporary program never end?

http://www.bizarrepolitics.com/confessions-for-history starts a series of reviews of The Age of Turbulence by Alan Greenspan. Greenspan advised several presidents during the most massive dislocation of jobs in U.S. history.
The Clintons and the Bush family joined hands with him at the altar of greed while workers had no voice in the process of Globalization and Free Trade.
Millions lost their jobs during this era and Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans exposed an underclass living in a silent depression.
How large is this the underclass and working poor class? The unemployment rates do not match up with the streets of USA.
It is obvious, the unemployment rate method of reporting has changed since only about 38 percent of all workers qualify for unemployment insurance. They either do not make enough money or work long enough at one job to qualify. How does this match up with the unemployment rate ?

Local value added economies have been destroyed. Geopolitical setttings have been knocked out of balance. Money spent at retail levels, quickly fans out to where the products are made and do not stay in the USA to recycle local value added economies.
The top five employers in our region are all related to government employers.

This is a chronical about the failures of so called Free Trade since 1956 when the U.S. Federal Government itself sponsored the moving of factories outside the USA in a "temporary" program that never ended. It shows how President Clinton, Rep Gingrich, Sen. Dole and Rush Limbaugh were one in the attack on workers. It provides unique data about the questionable unemployment rate and gives examples of job losses and company closedowns while a statistical prosperity is proclaimed.

Explore the upside down Flat World Fables by Thomas Friedman for Globalism
Related to country: United States

Tapsearcher explores the upside down Flat World Fables by Thomas Friedman, elitist writer for the New York Times and an evangelist for Free Trade and Globalism, at:
http://tapsearch.com/flatworld/

He cites what he calls "flatteners" which are periods in history which he believes paved the way for Globalization. Tapsearcher challenges his "flatteners" and concepts. Friedman confuses causes and effects and uses present day statistics that do not match up with history. He ignores the fact that workers have no voice in the process of Globalization and Free Trade even though workers are the core of any economy. History tells us what happens when workers are left out of the picture. He ignores the fact that international entities like the WTO control the flow of money and power outside of any real democratic process.
See "communications by rank" at http://www.experiencedesignernetwork.com/archives/000636.html

He ignores the fact that Free Trade is not trade as historically practiced and defined. Free Trade is based on moving production from place to place based on the cheapest labor markets of the world. When the factories move each time, burn out communities and societies are left behind.

The main commodities of Free Trade are human beings as workers. They are put on a world trading block to compete with one another down to the lowest levels of slave wage and even child labor. The last time, trade was based on human beings as commodities was during the slave trade days.

For further overviews, see http://tapsearch.com/tapartnews/ http://tapsearch.com/globalization or search under tapart news for hundreds of more reference on the worldwide web.

And Who has the Key? Workers are Handcuffed at http://www.graphicsforums.com/public/list.asp?id=1250

All should read The Confessions of an Economic Hit Man by John Perkins. Basically he tells us the value of the dollar is based on amount of power the USA can extend over the globe and domestic and trade deficits forces Free Trade which forces consumerism to cover the debt USA has.
